Donations of stock or other securities
Thank you for considering a gift of stocks or other securities. Your gift will help provide opportunity and choice to people with disabilities. There are potential tax savings associated with donations of stocks, bonds. or mutual funds.
You receive a charitable income tax deduction equal to the current fair market value of the security as long as it has been held greater than one year.
By gifting appreciated securities to Pillar, you will avoid capital gains tax and so will Pillar! Upon receiving the donation, Pillar will be able to liquidate the security and receive 100% of the proceeds of your generous donation.
